Engaging the Next Generation: Phil for Colorado Student Fellowship

As Attorney General, I’ve visited high schools and college campuses across our state. When I listen to young people, I hear a hunger for real, creative problem solving that meet the challenges we face as a state. And I hear a distaste for polarized discourse where people demonize one another rather than collaborate to make government work to serve people.

As Colorado Attorney General, my commitment is to listen, work together with communities, and come up with creative solutions that make our lives better.  And that’s how I will show up in this campaign to be our next Governor.

As AG, I’ve taken on big fights—standing up against irresponsible corporate landlords, defending our fundamental freedoms, preventing gun violence, and protecting our land, air, and water. I am committed to fighting for a better future for young people.  That’s why it is important to me to bring them onto my team and into the conversation.

That’s why I’m announcing our Student Fellowship Program, dedicated to engaging young people and the next generation of Coloradans.

Here are some ways to get engaged in our campaign and on your campus:

  1. Become a Phil for Colorado Fellow: Fellows will work closely with our team, gaining hands-on experience in campaign execution, organizing, and event management.
  2. Serve as a Campus Lead: Take the lead in organizing your campus community. You’ll have the opportunity to host events, recruit volunteers, and be a key voice for our campaign on your campus and community.
  3. Volunteer with the Campaign: Whether it’s knocking on doors or making phone calls, every effort makes an impact.

At the University of Colorado (as a professor and Dean), as Attorney General, and as a candidate to serve as Governor, the energy and creativity of young Coloradans continues to inspire me. And I recognize that it’s harder than ever to be a young person—facing rising costs, climate change, attacks on our freedoms, and the youth mental health crisis.

Together, we can meet these challenges head on and build a better future for Colorado.  Please help us spread the word and share this opportunity with young people interested in making a difference.

Let’s get to work.
