DENVER, CO – Today, Colorado Attorney General and candidate for governor Phil Weiser announced that he has been endorsed by the Greater Metropolitan Denver Ministerial Alliance (GMDMA), an 85-year-old organization that has been at the forefront championing issues of injustice, racism, discrimination, and equal rights. The alliance exists to be a voice to the disenfranchised and underprivileged in the greater metro Denver area and specifically the African American community.

“Since the beginning of Attorney General Phil Weiser’s tenure, he has been nothing less than a man of honor, dependability, and trustworthy of his word,” Bishop Dr. Jerry Ayiku Demmer, VP of Community Affairs for GMDMA, said. “It is important that we see our leaders show up in our communities before they ever ask for our endorsement. I have never in my 70 years of living seen a political leader show up like Attorney General Phil Weiser. It is with overwhelming gratitude that I endorse Attorney Weiser for our next governor.”
