We Are Powered to Win

Our path to victory is rooted in our grassroots campaign. And our donors tell our story.

The second quarter contributions filings tell a powerful story. Over 81% of our total contributions are from Coloradans. On the other hand, our opponent, Senator Bennet, raised half of his campaign dollars during this quarter from people that aren’t from Colorado.

As of July 1, we have 5,440 Colorado reported donors fueling our campaign. Contrast that to 2,900 Colorado reported donors for Senator Bennet.

And we are people powered.

We are proud of our deep and experienced bench of county leads covering all four corners of our state, and our energetic, college-age Phil for Colorado summer fellows—over 70 of them! You can find them in every part of our campaign including knocking on doors to listen to what’s on people’s minds.

We are meeting with people where they live—literally at their door steps. Please listen to Patty, whose door I knocked on in Brighton, to hear what’s on her mind for Colorado’s future.

And we have more current and former elected officials endorsing our campaign than Senator Bennet. Why are these mayors, city councillors, and county leaders pledging their support?  Because we’ve worked together. They know me and they know that I’ll be a partner to them and their communities. And they want you to know that I have the right leadership, experience, and knowledge to be our next Governor. Senator Bennet has represented us in DC for most of the last two decades. Like I recently said, “I know our state government inside and out, from every agency to every issue; I can hit the ground running. Michael Bennet will have a huge learning curve if he’s to do this job.”

These local leaders recognize, as I am hearing again and again, that Colorado needs a fighter as our next Governor.  I have shown that I am a fighter as AG, and will continue to fight as our next Governor.

And when we asked if people wanted to become a community endorser of our campaign, you showed up. We are at 2,500 and counting!  You can sign up as a community endorser here.

Finally, we are leading all across our state, and people notice when you show up and listen.

I’m meeting with Coloradans in person, at BBQs, on podcasts, and at parades.

In Fort Morgan, I met with local leaders and sat down with the Fort Morgan Times. We talked about why Pro15 (an organization of governmental and community leaders in Northeastern Colorado) acknowledged the work I’ve done to partner with them.

In the San Luis Valley, I met with community leaders and stopped by Chris Lopez’s Alamosa Citizen Valley Pod.

In Montrose, I marched in the July 4th parade, met with people working on child care, and joined Brody Wilson for Local Motion.

In the weeks ahead, you will find me speaking at the Douglas County Democrats Gala, hosting a town hall in Estes Park on healthcare quality and access, and headlining Dem West in Glenwood Springs, to name just a few!

We are powered to win. Please join us on our grassroots campaign—for a better Colorado for all of us!
