DENVER, CO – Today, Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser’s campaign for governor launched Future, its second TV ad. The 30-second spot features Weiser speaking directly to the camera alongside parents who lost children to accidental fentanyl overdoses, gun violence, or suicide fueled by social media. The ad – which will appear across cable and broadcast TV and digital and streaming platforms – is part of a multi-million dollar ad campaign from Weiser, who remains the only candidate in the Democratic primary for governor whose campaign is up on the air. A Super PAC backed by corporations and out-of-state billionaires – not his own campaign funded by Coloradans – is supporting U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet through paid TV ads.
“I’ve stood with families in their hardest moments as attorney general, and I’ll never stop fighting for a better future for all Coloradans as governor,” Phil Weiser said. “Our kids deserve better. That means holding Big Tech accountable, connecting kids with mentors, and lowering the cost of everyday life. I’m not powered by out-of-state billionaires, special interests, or dark money – I’m powered by the people of Colorado, and that’s who I’ll show up and fight for each and every day as governor.”
