FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DENVER, CO – Today, Attorney General Phil Weiser’s campaign for Governor announced a commanding fundraising lead based on new campaign finance reports by all candidates, demonstrating broad grassroots support while accumulating the resources necessary to win Colorado’s 2026 gubernatorial race.

Weiser’s campaign has raised over $3 million in total contributions since January, maintains $2.5 million in cash on hand, and has received support from over 7,600 individual donors. This represents a substantial fundraising advantage over U.S. Senator Michael Bennet, who according to the Bennet campaign has raised $1.7 million with $1.3 million in cash on hand from 6,400 donors.

“We have raised substantially more money for our campaign, have substantially more cash on hand, and have more individual donors than Sen. Bennet or any candidate in this race,” said Attorney General Phil Weiser. “This level of support shows that we have the momentum, energy, and resources to give Colorado voters the competitive race they deserve.”

The fundraising disparity highlights the early enthusiasm for Weiser’s candidacy across Colorado. His campaign raised 76% more funds than Bennet’s effort, while maintaining a 92% advantage in available cash resources. And Weiser’s campaign attracted 1,200 more individual donors than Bennet’s, demonstrating broad individual engagement.

“These numbers reflect what we’re seeing on the ground – Coloradans are ready for fresh, energetic leadership that will tackle the challenges facing our state,” said Anna Huck, Weiser’s campaign manager. “Phil’s record as Attorney General taking on the Trump administration, defending consumers, protecting reproductive rights, and fighting for working families has resonated with voters across the state.”

The strong fundraising performance positions Weiser’s campaign to invest in critical infrastructure, voter outreach, and grassroots organizing efforts ahead of the Democratic primary election next June.
