Terry - Moffat County

“I would like to see the young folks in this community enjoy the same prosperity and economic opportunity that I enjoyed as a young man. We need to diversify around here. We need to see this part of the world become an energy capital.”
— Terry, Moffat County

Terry’s makes a powerful point: the way forward for a growing yet sustainable economy in Colorado is one with a mix of energy sources, including solar and wind. Colorado is a leader in the clean energy space, as well as in facilitating productive conversations between the oil and gas industry, environmentalists, and those innovating in the renewable energy market. Moffat County receives more sunlight than other areas of the state, making it a prime location to experiment with the type of co-op solar field Terry shows off in this video.

As Attorney General, I will encourage a clean-energy economy by defending Colorado’s own Methane Rule, fighting to reinstate the Clean Power Plan, and promoting fair competition and consumer access in the renewable energy market. We will seize the opportunity in front of our state to create a healthier Colorado, both for our economy and our land, air, and water.
