“It’s been an exciting time in the last three years, living in the Grand Valley. We are in this great transition from oil and gas...to the focus being [an] outdoor recreation industry. It is really important for rural Colorado to have elected officials that represent our interests.”
— Sarah, Mesa County

Sarah owns Bonsai Designs, a company she and her husband founded in Grand Junction back in 2005. Since its beginning, the company has grown to over 57 people on the payroll and develops outdoor recreational parks around the country. “We could live anywhere we want, and we choose to live right here in Grand Junction,” Sarah said, citing quality of life and a community of entrepreneurs and subcontractors that contribute to the Western Slope’s accelerating economy.
